Wadhwani & Shanfeld, APLC, has four Southern California locations to assist clients. W&S is devoted to assisting its clients gain financial freedom and well-being. Whether clients are behind on their home, vehicle, income taxes or credit cards (bankruptcy alternatives) or need assistance settling or consolidating their credit cards or income tax debt (non-bankruptcy alternatives), we are equipped to handle the matter.
W&S also provides services in the area of asset and estate planning. A good estate plan should allow individuals (not the courts) to decide who takes care of their minor dependants, how they would like to be taken care of in case of incapacity or who they would like their assets to be divided among. These are some of the concerns addressed in our estate planning package.
W&S provides a personalized service for all clients where attorneys and clients get to know each other and work together. We do not use paralegals and non-attorney preparers.

Our Team
Raj T. Wadhwani – Founding Partner

Raj Wadhwani is one of the founding partners of Wadhwani & Shanfeld, APLC. After he received his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, Mr. Wadhwani focused his practice on consumer services. Currently, his practice includes bankruptcy, debt settlement, offers in compromise, foreclosure prevention and estate planning. Mr. Wadhwani has filed more than 6,000 consumer and business bankruptcy cases. In addition to extensive bankruptcy experience, Mr. Wadhwani is well-versed in estate planning and tax matters. In 2009, Mr. Wadhwani achieved Board Certified Bankruptcy Specialist status by the American Board of Certification. On a personal note, Mr. Wadhwani is married with two sons. His family pets include a Shiba Inu dog and an Eclectus parrot. He enjoys playing golf with his boys and is a big Laker fan.
Admissions:
Mr. Wadhwani is admitted to practice law in all California state and District courts. In addition, Mr. Wadhwani has filed cases in multiple other district courts including Wisconsin, Indiana, New York, and Illinois.

Gregory M. Shanfeld – Managing Partner

Gregory M. Shanfeld received his J.D. from University of Southern California and his B.A. in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles. Mr. Shanfeld’s primary experience is in bankruptcy law, and he has filed thousands of personal and bankruptcy cases. Prior to joining Wadhwani & Shanfeld, APLC, Mr. Shanfeld was a Partner and Managing Attorney at one of the largest bankruptcy practices in the country. Before that, he was an Associate with Stern, Neubauer, Greenwald & Pauly, where he worked in the real estate transactional department. Greg authored an article entitled “Demand Letters and Settlement Agreements” and lectured at a Lorman Education seminar on Collection Law in California.
Admissions:
Mr. Shanfeld is admitted to practice in the Central District of California, the Eastern District of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the State of California. Mr. Shanfeld is also a real estate broker licensed under the California Department of Real Estate.

Molly L. Froschauer – Associate

Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Molly joined Wadhwani & Shanfeld in 2009 and is currently an associate at the firm. Molly attended Pepperdine Law School where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, she was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review and was an extern at the United States District Court. Molly is a member of the California bar and is licensed to practice in the Central District of California. Molly just finished a half marathon and is an active member of her book club.
Karine Karadjian – Associate

Karine Karadjian is an associate at Wadhwani & Shanfeld, a Prof. Law Corp. She received her J.D. and M.D.R. from Pepperdine University School of Law in May 2011. She has previously externed for Judge Kathleen Thompson and Judge Geraldine Mund at the Central District of California Bankruptcy Court, as well as Public Counsel’s Debtor Assistance Project. Ms. Karadjian graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 2008 with a B.A. in both History and International Development Studies.
Lily Gaboyan – Senior Negotiator

Lily Gaboyan is the Senior Negotiator at Wadhwani & Shanfeld, A Professional Law Corporation. She joined our firm after working with Mr. Wadhwani and Mr. Shanfeld for many years at another law firm. Lily has over 10 years of experience in bankruptcy law, and while specializing in debt negotiation, she is also an expert in credit score optimization and rapid FICO rescoring. She also takes a genuine interest in her clients’ well-being, guiding them through their tough financial straits. When not working, Lily loves to make gourmet dinners and entertain friends and family.
Karla P. Hernandez – Lead Assistant

Karla P. Hernandez joined the Wadhwani & Shanfeld, A Professional Law Corporation, as a legal assistant in May 2007. Ms. Hernandez is currently attending University of West Los Angeles Law School, as a part time student, where she will receive her Juris Doctorate in 2015. Ms. Hernandez received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Northridge with a minor in Criminal Justice and Psychology. While earning her undergraduate degree, Ms. Hernandez was on the Dean’s List, CSUN Honor society and was awarded multiple scholarships because of her high GPA. Ms. Hernandez assists the attorneys in the preparation and collection of documents necessary to file cases.
She also handles intake and client inquiries. Ms. Hernandez is a Notary Public and a Spanish translator for the office. When away from the office, Ms. Hernandez enjoys traveling, reading and cooking.
Talar Bouldoukian – Assistant

Talar Bouldoukian joined our firm in 2008. She is a certified paralegal. Ms. Bouldoukian received her B.A. in History at California State University Northridge. When she is not working, she loves to read, discover new music, and spend quality time with her family.
Ebenly Alvarado – Assistant

Ebenly S. Alvarado is currently attending Mount St. Mary’s College, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Sociology. She assists the attorneys in the preparation and collection of documents necessary to file cases and is also a Spanish translator. In the future, she plans to go to law school and become an attorney herself. In her spare time she enjoys attending sporting events and supporting her favorite team, the Los Angeles Dodgers. She also enjoys reading, baking and being outdoors.
