Do I need an attorney?
There is no requirement that you use the services of an attorney when filing bankruptcy, settling your debt or short-selling your home.
However, as a word of caution you should know that you often only get one chance at these things because of what is at stake. There are many traps for the unwary that can result in significant loss or poor results, so we would highly recommend using the services of an experience bankruptcy attorney’s office to make sure that you have the best chance of success.
Give our experienced office a call today to learn how we can use our experience to give your case its best chance of success.
How long does the process take?
If Chapter 7 is the best option for you, you can expect the process to take four months from the date your case is filed to the date your debts are discharged and you get your fresh start.
If Chapter 13 is best for you, then you should expect a three to five year process because a Chapter 13 is fundamentally a gradual and usually partial repayment plan.
Our other services, like debt settlement or short sale, can vary in how long they take because each case is different.
